WATCH OUT FOR RESTRICTED TRAFFIC ZONES
Dear Guest, in order to reduce traffic congestion and pollution in the historical centre of Rome, the City Council has introduced, through a system of permits and controls, restrictions on vehicle access to certain zones of the centre. The system consists of 23 points of entry to these zones, each of which is controlled electronically. Telecameras record the number plates of all those cars which enter the restricted traffic zones. The Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) of the historical centre is closed to unauthorised vehicles from Monday to Thursday from 6.30 to 18.00, on Friday from 6.30 to 18.00 and from 23.00 to 3.00, on Saturday from 14.00 to 18.00 and from 23.00 to 3.00; (in brief: by daylight you can enter freely only on Saturday in the mornig and on Sunday). During certain periods like the shopping days before Christmas the restriction could be extended so we suggest to ask the concierge of the Hotel for that.
ALL VEHICLES WITHOUT AUTHORISATION TO ENTER WILL BE FINED
Therefore, we invite you to read these suggestions, to pay attention whilst driving to the road signs which indicate limited traffic zones (ZTL) controlled by telecameras and, unless authorised, to avoid entering the forbidden zones. Ask the concierge for the possibility to be authorized to enter by your own car in this area and reach the Hotel.
